On this new Year it is bad news for all Heavy SMS user’s and text User’s as the major leading mobile networks in India: Airtel,Vodafone and Idea have increased SMS Plans Rate more than 400%.Recently we have seen All 2G GPRS Tariff as hiked by Airtel, Vodafone and Idea and on the Tariff Hike trends they have implemented the same on SMS also. As the new Player’s like Aircel, Videocon and Uninor left the Market,  it’s preying time for incumbents. they have started hiking their Tariff and some are following them to take an Axe bow on their customer’s.

More than 400% Tariff Hike on SMS Packs

Now it seems the low tariff war is over among Indian Telecom Companies, The old p[layers in Indian telecom Industry has started again to increase their Tariff which includes GPRS (2G) Packs, SMS packs and Call Tariff which was also increased to 1.2 and 1.5 paisa per second form 1 paisa/Second.

It is becoming difficult for a Middle class person Afford these high Tariff plans from Airtel,Vodafone and Idea , Hence most of the user's are going with Reliance and Tata Docomo because of low Tariff. Even the Regulators DoT and TRAI are still silent on these Traiff Increase, We wish TRAI should make a Strong regulation to stop this Sudden Hike and also for SMS on Blackout Days, Below are some of the differences of New SMS packs and Old SMS packs from Airtel Vodafone and Idea.

Why to pay more n Black out Days

I have never understood the meaning to pay more on Every SMS or Voice on “Black out days”? i:e Paying more on text and voice in Special occasions even if I am subscribed to Bulk SMS plans,A new regulation of TRAI says it is now extended to voice also i.e. operators will charge as per the default tariff. (which fluctuates between Rs.2/per minute to 2. paisa per Second) We really wish TRAI should save Voice from these black out days as voice is a Primary need.It is better to put a CAP on Voice and SMS on Black out days instead of charging high on every text and voice.

 GPRS (2G) Tariff Hike

Recently we all know almost all the telecom companies slashed their 3G Services price by 70%, and hence to promote Their 3G Data Services they are Constantly Increasing their 2G GPRS Packs tariff and also have implemented on Speed cap of 40KBPS after certain Usage.

The GPRS Pack tariff Hike is followed by Airtel, Vodafone and Idea, they are increasing their 2G tariff plans in a form of  cutting down bundled usage on popular data packs. cutting down bundled usage on popular data packs. this step is certainly an Anti Consumer Move and which will not be liked by Youths who spend their Pocket money in data Packs.

The major changes on 2G Internet Packs by Airtel and Idea:
** The plans may have slight price differences in circle to circle and these new revision is not applied in certian circles, but we are sure it will be rolled in every circles Soon.

• Rs 98 – now 650 MB for 21 days (earlier 1GB for 30 days)
• Rs 124 – 1 GB for 30 days (earlier for Rs 98)
• Rs 149 – 1.2GB for 30 days (earlier 1.5GB for 30 days)
• Rs 198 – 2GB + unlimited @40kbps for 30 days (earlier this pack priced at Rs 149)

We recommend those who are regular data user’s should call their respective customer care for inquiry about new data plans before making any 2G Recharge.
