Its again a bad news for all Heavy callers. Bharti Airtel the largest Indian Mobile network as stepped first into voice Tariff hike by directly increasing Voice tariff to Rs. 2 per minute in pan India. This new change will be implemented withing 2 months in all over India. After the SMS plan hike by 400% now its seems even Voice tariff will be cos tiler. Airtel, Idea and Vodafone are constantly Increasing SMS, GPRS and now Voice tariff. this move my Airtel is considered As Anti Consumer Move as other New Players in telecom industry still keeps the older Voice plans.
Airtel Hikes Voice Tariff to Rs.2 per minute
it seems the tariff war between Indian operators is over now. Recently Airtel hiked SMS plans by 400% and then later Vodafone, Idea and Tata Docomo implemented on the same. the same was implemented on 2G Mobile data packs (GPRS) Now the largest 3 networks are offering only 650 MB in Rs.98 which is no value for money.
From Our exclusive Sources a Spokesperson Reported: For now there is no change in headline tariff. In Most of the circles Airtel have already Reduced Promotional benefits and free Minutes on both new and existing usage.
he also continued Airtel has always been ahead in Improving network Quality and investing Network Technology, Customer Experience and enriching Series.
Voice tariff Hike
Even After Airtel Hikes Voice tariff to Rs.2 per Minute you can still enjoy low calling rates upto 30p per minute by special traffic voucher’s (bonus cards)
In India before some years Tata Docomo Introduced 1p/sec tariff and later all operators copied the tariff and implemented into their Plans this time was most benefited to consumers The call rates shaleshed to 1p per 2 seconds with some special Vouchers. But later on Airtel and Vodafone started Increasing the base tariff to 1.2p/sec and then followed by 1.5p/sec. but now it seems this tariff hike will be reaching to a new point as they will directly Increase Voice Tariff to Rs.2 Per Minute in all Circles and I am sure this will then be followed by Vodafone and Idea
Other New Players in this industry like Tata Docomo, Uninor, Videocon, Aircel and MTS will be benefited with tons of new Customers as they still managed to run on their Older tariff which is very consumer Friendly and heavy SMS Users + Callers will sure go with these New players to enjoy Low Rates.
To be honest I am a Airtel Subscriber’s from last 5 years, I Still love the Network Connectivity and Voice Clarity on Airtel. Airtel and Vodafone has invested a Lot in Digital technology. Their Service is Superior but moving into a Huge tariff Hike will not be Liked by its Subscribers and sure they will choose some alternative way.
